1. Take it easy- This is an obvious solution but it is one of the best. Sometimes we need to take time off of work or school to regain our strength. Read a book, watch a movie, or SLEEP! Your body NEEDS sleep to feel better so I strongly suggest sleeping.
2. Try to ignore the feeling- Say your stomach is hurting and you just need a good distraction. My suggestion is to grab a pillow and place it on your stomach (hunch over). Grab a book (your favorite book) and read. Or, you could always try working from home (if you are feeling somewhat better). As a person who is in school, we have to keep up with our work to maintain good grades or else we can fall behind. In my opinion, this provides a great distraction because you are focused on something you need to do.
3. Think happy thoughts- Think that you will get through this no matter how sick you are. Now, some of you may be like, "It is a lot harder than it sounds to stay positive while being sick". EVERY human being has been sick at least once in their life (no matter how small the illness is), it is your decision to try to make being sick a positive. Plus, what are negative thoughts getting you?
