Madeleine Albright Quote

Have You Been Told What You Believe is Wrong?

In my past posts, I have talked about being proud of who you are. In this post, I will be talking about how you should be proud of your religion. As a Roman Catholic, I hear a lot of comments that are rude and offensive towards my religion. Unfortunately, I did not have the courage to stand up for myself and say that what they were saying was wrong. But now, after some serious contemplation and some talks with my Mama, I have grown to realize that I should be proud of what I believe. So the point of this post is to tell you to be proud of your religion and to not make the same mistake I did. Don't let anyone push you around because of what you believe. Because believe me, standing up will boost your confidence and it will make you stand even firmer in your beliefs.

Be Proud to Be You!

Image result for diversityIn today's society, we are told who we should be and what we should like. In stores, you will see these magazines saying, "How to Be Beautiful', "How to Impress Him/or Her", or other "How to's". These articles, are some of the reasons we become insecure about ourselves. If you want to impress someone, just be yourself! If the person you are trying to impress doesn't appreciate you for you then they are not worth your time! If you want to be beautiful, do what makes you feel beautiful! You don't need a magazine to tell you how you should look. Being unique is one of the most beautiful things in the world. Without unique people, the world would be boring and dull! So never be persuaded to think that how you look or think doesn't match today's "standards". Because someone out there admires you for standing up and being you!

What is Love?

The question that most of us wonder about. What is love? I have pondered this question a lot because although I am quite young I have always wondered about the real definition of love. We all have different definitions of love so I thought I could share mine! As cheesy as it sounds, I honestly don't know if I have enough words to explain. But anyways, here is my definition (technically the Bibles):

"Love isn't selfish or quick tempered. It doesn't keep record of wrongs that others do. Love rejoices in truth, but not in evil. Love is always supportive, loyal, hopeful, and trusting".

                                    -1 Corinthians 13:5-7
A few months ago my Mama shared this Bible verse with me and I agree with it and I think about it with my friendships. The more I think about this verse the more I rethink about some of the feelings I have had for people and certain friendships (side note: real friends are gems, never take them for granted!). Love is a feeling that you have for someone that never falters and a feeling that is selfless. In the verse above, it is never "selfish or quick tempered". If love was selfish, quick tempered and it always kept up with others wrong doings, how else are you suppose to progress with your partner? Speaking of partners, when looking for someone you are considering to date, (I know it sounds cheesy but it's true) always look at their personality! Never be with someone because of how handsome or pretty they look. Because if you only consider how someone looks, those looks are going to fade in a couple of years. So, when thinking about dating someone (or even having a crush on someone) I like to think of these questions:
1. Do they have the same morals as me?
2. Do they respect me and my boundaries?
3. (Most importantly) Do I see this person as a potential person to marry?
When someone is dating another person it is (in my opinion) the stage before marriage. So if you don't see yourself with that person, why bother being with them? I hope all of you enjoyed this article and I hope all of you stay positive! (P.S If you have any questions you can comment down below or you can email me at randombutyetpositiveadvice@gmail.com!)

Inspirational People

Sometimes it is hard to find a role model that helps inspire you every day. I know for me it was hard to find someone that was wholesome and positive and that had the same beliefs as me. Some of my most favorite people in the world are the people that inspire, love and support me. If you are having trouble finding someone, look in your family, look at your circle of friends, look at YouTubers, even look at celebrities! Down below I will list some of my inspirations! But anyways, even if you don't have a role model, turn into the person you want to be! Don't ever let anyone tell you that you are never good enough to be something/someone or that your dreams are impossible! What matters is your passion to pursue what you want to and the love you give yourself. Because at the end of the day, ask yourself, "Do I believe in myself"? Even if you do not have anyone behind to support you, you NEED to believe in what you do and to NEVER let anyone alter what you think.
My list of Inspirational People:
1. My Mom
2. WOOJONG(Check out his YouTube channel, he is one of the most inspirational people I have ever seen)
3. Audrey Hepburn
Stay Positive!
