Hate is a very strong word that means: a deep disliking for someone (by my definition), so in this case I am going to use the words “strongly dislike” or “dislike”. So, how much energy are you spending on this person that you dislike? Believe it or not, you are spending quite A LOT of energy on it. The more you complain and dwell on this person the more you start to dislike them and the more you complain about them (and I am pretty sure we don’t want to complain about people) it just makes matters worse. A couple quotes ago, I posted a quote from Will Smith. That quote is actually very true (the last few words specifically). My main jest is, don’t waste negative energy on other people (I am working on that myself). I have learned from many people that putting that negative energy out doesn’t just make that person look bad but, yourself. I am pretty sure none of us want to look bad in front of our friends. From personal experience, complaining about that person will only make you 1. Look bad 2. Waste your energy and 3. Make you dislike that person even more. I have learned that it only makes you really tired and super grumpy the next day. So to help out, ask yourself these questions:
1. Is this person really worth complaining about?
2. Why am I saying this?
3. (Most of all) What good am I getting out of this?
4. How can I make things better for myself?
5. How can I distract myself?
When someone complains about how much they dislike someone (like I have said), it makes the person dislike the person even more. It makes the situation more dramatic than it should be (trust me). Also, wishing negative on that person also makes it worse. It will make that person's mind bitter and sour (and I don’t think that anybody wants to be around that).Life is not perfect and people are not perfect. Just hang in there and stay positive!
